Boross Mihály (1815 - 1899) A sajtóterem névadója

Boross Mihály (1815-1899)
Boross Mihály a forradalom és szabadságharc időszakának jelentős megyei politikusa volt. 1815. január 9-én született Ószőnyben. Nagyszülei felvidékiek voltak. Pozsony megyéből származtak a Komárom megyei Ószőnybe, s itt változtatták meg vezetéknevüket, Borostyánról Borossra. A gimnázium elvégzését követően Cegléden, Nagykőrösön, Pápán tanult, majd több éven keresztül joggyakornokként dolgozott. 1842-ben tette le az ügyvédi vizsgát. Ezt követően rövidebb ideig Tatán gyakorolta az ügyvédi praxist.
